Play the Bandit Wargame
Access the SSH using putty or similar software.
You can save the session if you want.
Level 0 à Level 1
Enter username as bandit0 and hit enter. Then it will prompt the password. Enter the password as same as the username bandit0. You succeed the level0. Note that the password will not be visible when you type the password.
Find the password using readme file as follows.
Level 1 à Level 2
Password for the level 1: boJ9jbbUNNfktd78OOpsqOltutMc3MY1
Now enter the username as bandit1 and the password given above.
The password is in the file named -.
Level 2 à Level 3
Password for the level 2: CV1DtqXWVFXTvM2F0k09SHz0YwRINYA9
Username: bandit2
Password for the next level is stored in the “spaces in this filename” file. Since it has spaces, enter the name within double quotes.
Level 3 à Level 4
Password for the level 3: UmHadQclWmgdLOKQ3YNgjWxGoRMb5luK
Username: bandit3
Password for the next level is stored in the directory named inhere as a hidden file.
Level 4 à Level 5
Password for the level 4: pIwrPrtPN36QITSp3EQaw936yaFoFgAB
Username: bandit4
The password is stored in a human-readable file. To see the type of contents, file command can be used.
Level 5 à Level 6
Password for the level 5: koReBOKuIDDepwhWk7jZC0RTdopnAYKh
Username: bandit5
c - Byte
b - Block
k - Kilo bytes
w - 2 Byte words
M - Mega byte
G - Giga byte
Find the file which is having size of 1033 bytes using find command. Which is in the inhere directory.
